Timber cutting with water
The water jet cutting technology is actually very appropriate for treating timber or timber-based materials. Large parts like elements for furniture or building parts for interior fittings with outlines which are difficult to produce with traditional methods, can be realized by the water jet cutting plant without problem. These parts are cut dimensionally accurate and in a top quality.
Advantages:
- Cold cutting
- No burning marks
- Very high utilization of materials by slight protection of the parts
Glass cutting with water
Good cutting process. The cutting edges are showing a mat surface which is a bit coarse, too and must be ground as necessary. It is possible to cut glass plates and mirrors without given data or drawings (e.g. windows and patterned glass). Toughened safety glass CANNOT be cut because the cutting process creates tension into glass causing a burst of the glass panel.
Advantages:
- Cold cutting
- No distortion due to thermal stress
- No burr formation
- Very high utilization of materials by slight protection of the parts
