The cutting of synthetic materials with water
The most ideal and safest method for cutting synthetic materials (materials: PE, PA, PA6, PVC, POM, PTFE, acrylic, polycarbonate and others, all alloys) in their whole range of thickness. No toxic vapor or thermal damages are generated.
Advantages:
- Cold cutting
- No distortion due to thermal stress
- No burr formation
- Very high utilization of materials by slight protection of the parts
Possible cutting quality: Qualitative cut, standard cut or cross cut
The cutting of seals with water
Insulating and sealing materials cannot be allocated to a typical treatment method owing to their materials diversity. The processes that have been used till now are showing following problems:
Milling:
- clamping problems, costly in terms of time, high rate of wearing on hard materials
- quality of edges which is frequently unsatisfactory implying further fnishing
Laser cutting:
- some of them contain synthetic materials that cannot be but with laser
- only exceptionally possible, necessity of special tool
- only small quantities can be produced which is in fact inefficient
- rapid and economical method for larger quantities
- the process of single pieces or small quantities is inefficient, because the production of moulds is necessary
